Jemma adds another string to her bow

KEEN violinist Jemma Samuels hit a high note as she celebrated her batmitzvah at the Manchester Reform Congregation.

Jemma, the daughter of Marcelle and Ian Samuels, of Didsbury, also enjoys singing, dancing and swimming. And she has a love of dolphins.

The Manchester High School for Girls' pupils has an older sister, Jessica.

Also joining in the celebrations were grandparents Simone and Gerry Lakmacher and grandmother Anita Samuels.

Martyn is on top of the world with Ori

ORI Dassa and Martyn Fyne are on top of the world - after marrying in the Roof of the World restaurant at Tel Aviv's Azrieli Centre.

The couple met 10 months ago in Israel and were married by Rabbi Shlomo Ellituv, of Didsbury's Sha'are Hayim Sephardi Congregation.

Ori is the daughter of Tikva and Moshe Dassa, of Tel Aviv, while computer programmer Martyn is the son of Myra Fyne, of Broughton Park, and the late Philip Fyne.

Best man was Shlomi Mizachi. Bridesmaids were Tamar Fyne, Shaked Sluzky and Shayli Pariente.

Guests from England and America travelled to Israel to join the celebration.

The couple will settle in Didsbury.
