Sporty Jade scores with joy

SPORTY music lover JADE O’MALLEY celebrated her batmitzvah at the United Hebrew Congregation last Shabbat.

Jade, a keen rounders and netball player who attends Gateways School, Harewood, is the daughter of NATALIE and HOWARD KLINEBERG (Leeds), and JULIEN and REBECCA O’MALLEY (East Keswick).

Grandparents MARSHALL CAPEL and STEPHEN ROYLE-EVATT (both of Leeds) joined guests from California, Abu Dhabi and – closer to home – Lewes and Cornwall at the simcha.

Also at the celebrations were Jade’s brothers and sisters Georgia, Sophie, Max, Henry and Kitty.

Inter-city flavour for Jack

KARATE kid JACK DAVID SHEAF belted out his barmitzvah piece to everyone’s delight at Childwall Hebrew Congregation, Liverpool.

Jack, the son of BEVERLY and PAUL SHEAF, of Liverpool (both originally from Leeds), is a pupil at King David High School, Liverpool, and was joined by his 17-year-old sister HANNAH, who is currently taking her A-levels – also at KD Liverpool.

Joining in the celebrations were grandparents NORMA and LEONARD FINEBERG (Leeds), ESTELLE CLIFF (Leeds) and GISELLE and DOVY SHEAF (Montreal), as well as family from Manchester, Leeds and Germany. Jack is a keen swimmer and plays the guitar but particularly enjoys computer games.

Carly is batmitzvah

CARLY ISAACSON (above) was the golden girl as she celebrated her batmitzvah.

Carly, the daughter of Nettie and Michael Isaacson, of Whitefield, graduated at Beis Yaakov Jewish High School, Salford.

The family celebrated with a party at Whitefield Golf Club.

A pupil at King David High School, Carly is a computer enthusiast.

She was joined by sister Lauren, 10, as well as grandparents Shirley and Jeffrey Isaacson and Dora Newman.

They celebrated with family and friends, as well as guests from Canada.
