A REQUEST has come in from Hogwarts School. Actress Miriam Margolyes who played Professor Sprout in Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets is appealing to readers for help in finding two families.

She is searching for the family of Henry and (Se)Lena Friend from Leeds and Thirsk, who lived in Northfield Villas, Leeds in 1901-1908 and had five children.

In 1901, their children were listed as Ethel, 17, Cissy, 14, Maurice, 11, Gerty, 8, and Cyril, 6.

Miriam would also like to find the Harris family of Hull, who were bakers in Osborne Road. The family moved to London in the 1930s.

Don't send your replies to Hogwarts, but email Miriam on 75342.3217@compuserve.com
