TERRY Racionzer of Scotland wants information on his grandmother, Amelia Goldstein, who was born circa 1870 and married Felix Racionzer at Garnethill Synagogue in 1892.

She died in Glasgow in 1935. The family were known in the community as the Felixes in the early 1900s.

Amelia was the daughter of Philip Goldstein and Leah Mendelson who, after their marriage in 1869 in Warsaw, emigrated to the UK and settled in the East End of London.

They moved to Glasgow around 1877, where they had a family tailoring business.

They lived at the following addresses - 40 Rutherglen Loan (1879), 35 Charlotte Street (1881), 91 Rose Street (1884), 435 Argyle Street (1891) and 6 Abbotsford Place (1901).

They had either seven or nine children, born between 1870 and 1884. The older siblings were born in the London. Some used the name Goldston.

Some of the children's names were Betsey, Joseph, David, Aaron or Harry, Sarah and Samuel.

AUSTRALIAN Ron Bower is looking for the family of Barnett Markson and his wife Sarah Fisherman.

The couple had a son, David, who married Sarah Goldwater in the Graham Street Synagogue, Edinburgh on August 25, 1904.

Ron would also like to find the family of Victor Schwarz, born in Innsbruck, Austria, in 1920. He moved to Manchester in November 1938 and had two children.

JOYCE Dempsey of Ireland is trying to trace her mother's paternal family from Liverpool.

Joseph and Adelaide Isaac had four children, George, Norman, Edna and Joyce's grandfather Joseph.

Joseph was killed in World War One in 1918. He had married Mary Smyth in Dublin.

''My mother passed away without ever knowing her father's family,'' Joyce says. ''I feel it is my time to find them for her.''

CARL Halpern of Netanya is trying to help a friend find her relatives.

Carl wants to find the family of Yosef (Yosek or Mundak) Claftin (Clafton, Clapton or Clifton). He was born around 1900 and lived in Manchester from the 1950s.

He arrived in England as a widower from Lemberg-Lwow, Galicia. He remarried whilst here.
