WHITEFIELD Golf Club celebrates its 80th anniversary this year.

And its archivist, Irvine Caplan, is looking to expand his collection of memorabilia.

Irvine, of Worsley, was recently given four photo he believes are from the 1930s and taken at the club, on Higher Lane, Whitefield.

He can only identify one of the people - Abe Sockolov, a founder member of the club.

Irvine told the Jewish Telegraph: "I need to know who the other people on the photographs are."

Irvine, a member at Whitefield for 46 years, is slowly compiling a history of the club and hopes to include it in an exhibition at the Manchester Jewish Museum.
