Sophie's p-arty

ARTY Sophie Newdall celebrated her batmitzvah at the United Hebrew Congregation.

The daughter of Amanda and Steven Newdall, of Shadwell, Sophie is a pupil at the Grammar School of Leeds.

Sophie, who enjoys singing, is very musical and loves art, especially sketching.

Grandparents Rev and Mrs Gerry Harris together with Pat Newdall joined guests from around the UK at the simcha.

Eight-year-old sister Caitlin, who also attends the Grammar School, was chairperson helped by their three-year-old brother Thomas, who is a pupil at Deborah Taylor Nursery.


Amy's in fashion

FASHION fan Amy Frieze took centre stage at her batmitzvah at Etz Chaim Synagogue on Shabbat.

The daughter of Emma and Marshall Frieze, of Alwoodley, Amy is a pupil at King David High School, Manchester.

Amy enjoys singing, dancing and fashion.

Grandparents Ida and Mel Frieze, of Israel, and Madeleine Franklin, of Leeds, together with Amy's aunt Lesley Levi and her daughter Gal were among visiting guests from Israel, London and Manchester at the simcha.

Amy has a brother, Ben, who also attends King David.
