Mum's bat chayil

JEAN Tragen, of Altrincham, is hoping readers can help her identify people on the photograph above.

She found it when looking through her late mother's photo albums.

Her mother, Joan Nelson, who was born in 1921, is pictured right at what Jean believes was her bat chayil at Park Place Synagogue.

Grave visitor

SUZANNE Vincent visited her grandfather Sidney (Shlomo) Harris' grave at Gildersome Cemetery in Leeds and noticed a number of stones on it.

"As far as I am aware, there are no other descendants apart from me and my sister after the death of our father, Alan, last year," Jeffery said.

She would like to discover if there are other relatives who visited the grave.

Sidney was born in 1900 and died in 1935. His wife, Dora, then returned to Manchester with Alan.
