Adam realised he wanted to be backstage after uni production

IT is probably not a good idea to see a show with Adam Paulden.

Nor, for that matter, would it be fun to watch a musical alongside him.

It is nothing personal — it is just that the award-winning producer of theatre and live entertainment can’t switch off from his job.

“I am thinking, ‘I know how much that lighting rig cost’ or ‘I know how much the theatre or venue is receiving for this’.

“It is probably incredibly annoying!”

But Adam’s eye for detail and fastidious approach to his work has seen his company, ADAMA Entertainment, win numerous coveted gongs, including three Olivier Awards.

And, earlier this month, he won — another — WhatsOnStage award for Love Never Dies in the best concert event category.
