Ari, who worked for the Israeli prime minister in a number of roles, turned state witness in a corruption case involving Netanyahu.

In February 2017, following a two-year criminal investigation, Israeli police recommended indicting Ari for bribery, breach of trust, fraud and money laundering.

Six months later, Ari reached an agreement with the prosecution.

And, under the deal, he will be convicted of fraud and breach of trust, will be sentenced to six months of community service and will pay a fine of 700,000 shekels (£150,000).

But, because the trial is still ongoing, the 50-year-old cannot say too much.
