AS one of the most recognisable personalities on television, ITV News political editor Robert Peston is beamed into millions of homes most evenings.
Just as the coronavirus pandemic was beginning to tighten its vice-like grip on the world, the nation heard him exclaim “oh s**t” during a press briefing with prime minister Boris Johnson as he wrestled with the technicalities of working from home.
“Most people indulged me and could see that these things do happen, especially in the world of Zoom,” Robert said.
“Unfortunately, factionalism is one of the less attractive aspects of the world we live in.
