THE University of Glasgow is to honour Hannah Frank for her contribution to the arts.
Gorbals-born Hannah died last week at the age of 100 while a letter was in the post offering her a degree of Doctor of Letters.
The artist and sculptor, who was famed for her black and white images, is set to have a memorial unveiled by her former university.
Hannah produced a fortnightly illustration for Glasgow University's magazine while studying there between 1927 and 1932.
She died at a care home in Newton Mearns, surrounded by family and her funeral took place at Cathcart Cemetery.
Glaswegians had the chance to celebrate Hannah's 100th year during a week-long programme of events in the city in August.
They included a drawing and sculptural works exhibition at her former university spanning her 75-year career.
The artist was also honoured at an official reception at the Scottish Parliament in September.
Art lovers have been able to view Hannah's work worldwide and she has also been the subject of a BBC documentary.
A full memorial service for the artist will take place next year.
